It’s safe to say 2020 has been a crazy year for everybody in one way or another.
The weddings and events industry has been one of the most affected industries with more than a third of weddings being postponed or cancelled since the start of lockdown. Ordinarily the industry contributes £14.7bn to the economy however this hasn’t been the case this year as wedding season never really got underway.
But all is not lost and as Marvin Gaye would say there “ain’t no mountain high enough” when it comes to love. Our industry is strong and resilient, we adapt to whatever is thrown our way and we’ll get through this and come out smiling our biggest and cheesiest grins! Why? Because there’s no better industry to be a part of!
I’m often asked, what do you love about planning a wedding, why do you do it? Truthfully, there is no better feeling than seeing your Bride and Groom smile on their special day. Knowing you’ve contributed to that smile whether that’s by providing and arranging the cake or every finishing touch.
To all the engaged couples reading this, I’m still here and I will be here to plan your perfect day, whether that’s this year, next year or even the year after! I’ve said it a million times and I’ll say it again, I love what I do and I’d love to help you!
